British Exhibition of Security Technology

BEST brings the best of British and Irish manufacturers to a town or city near you. This unique event allows visitors to view and try top-end security equipment in an unpressurised environment. It is the only exhibition where you can see a complete integrated system from At BEST you can enjoy the complimentary bar and lunch whilst taking the time to discuss your requirements with the exhibitors and product designers – in other words, the people who know them best.

Where can I visit a BEST event?

The latest schedule for BEST has been provisionally confirmed. In 2008, apart from the annual event in London, BEST will be visiting the Surrey/Kent area, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham and Cardiff. In addition, BEST London has been extended to a 3-day event! Plenty of time for busy people to find time to come and talk with the exhibitors.

Thursday 1^st May (Confirmed date)	BEST on Speed! A special show exhibiting not only the best in security engineering, but also highlighting the best in British motoring and aviation. Entry into the exhibition includes: Free entry into the museum, free Concorde experience, prize draw for a ride in the race track in a vintage race car, free buffet lunch and bar. A great day out the office! This year, BEST London will be focusing on the transport industry and we invite all security professionals to attend. Entry into the exhibition includes a free bar and buffet lunch, prize draw and a special complimentary consultants meal. Register now! Tuesday 9^th September	BEST Manchester Download invite HERE The first of two roadshows in the North of England. BEST will again be bringing important security companies to a town near you. As usual, entry into the exhibition is free and you can register on the day. Once registered you will be entered into a prize draw for a fantastic raceday experience round the track at Thruxton. Unmissable! Tecton, Thinking Space, Mark Mercer, Raytec and BBV.	The Hexagon Room The Lowry Centre, Salford Quays, M50 3AZ Only 3 minutes from the M602. From the M60 take junction 12 and follow the brown Lowry signs all the way. The Lowry is a ten minute walk from Harbour Lights train station.
Thursday 11^th September	BEST Leeds/Bradford Download invite HERE Part two of the Northern roadshow. Details are the same as above. This exhibition is held at the Speedmaster Centre – home to some of the most exciting and historic race cars. Our stands will be around the cars so even if security doesn't quite float your boat, this is a great opportunity to get out the office and see a Ferrari that raced in Le Mans (you may even be tempted to buy it!	The Speedmaster Centre Albion Mills, Greengates, Bradford, BD10 9TQ Located between Leeds and Bradford, close to the M1 (12 miles) and the M62 (7 miles). The nearest train station is Leeds and Bradford. The Speedmaster Centre is just of the A657 which is itself of the A655.

Who exhibits at BEST?

BEST exhibitors are independent, British or Irish manufacturers of security products. All products are made to a high standard and come with the support and build quality you would expect of independent British companies. BEST exhibitors are invariably involved in major projects across the UK, Europe, Asia and America. Their typical clients include banks, town centres, constabularies, Government installations, transport networks and many other applications. At the most recent exhibition, there were companies that manufactured digital recorders, IP products, dome cameras, control room furniture, front-end control software, radio communications, microwave communications, intelligent camera control and security lighting.

Many companies will be showing off their products working together with other companies – the perfect opportunity to see how products work together in practice.

Who attends BEST?

BEST is attended by a wide variety of installers and end-users. In 2007 we saw delegates from constabularies, councils, banks, Government agencies, transport networks, colleges, Universities, private businesses and many others. Installers can also gain value from attending the event because of the amount of end-users attending. It is also a great opportunity for end-users to talk to some of the biggest installers in the UK and let them know exactly what they require.
